Life Insurance Agents Don’t Have to Be Organized to Get Leads and Be Successful
Even if you never have seen the roller derby before, I’m sure you have an idea what the game is like.
I have to admit, I never regularly watched myself, but I have witnessed enough to know that it seems very chaotic. Skating around in a circle with the enemy kicking, poking, pulling, jabbing and whatever else they can do to try and get an edge on you.
Lately that seems a lot like my life. I’m caught up in a whirlwind of faxes, contracts, negotiations and mountains of mail. Not to mention the never ending barrage of requests for this and that from my valued staff … And the constant “Tug -a -War” struggle with my venders.
Round and round and round I go. It never ends. I’m being pulled in every direction. Even at home, each child clawing for attention. And at the office, papers are mounting by the minute. AHHHH!
Now don’t think I’m about to snap. This is just part of my life… and it’s probably a lot like your life too. And to be honest with you, this is what it’s like for most successful people who are actually pushing to get ahead and to get things done.
The Habitat for a Successful Life Insurance Entrepreneur
No you’re not alone. And no you are not terribly messy or incompetent. This is simply the habitat for the entrepreneur at heart. This is the arena where big things happen at a lightning pace.
Maybe it’s not like this all the time… I’m sure you, as well as me, have those days when the dust can settle. And you can actually catch your breath for five or ten minutes. But before long the drums start beating and the boogie begins again.
Then there are times when everything comes together like pieces of a puzzle (a large annuity deal closes, a marketing piece generates tons of hot new life insurance leads, etc)…Like a composer orchestrating his masterpiece. And on that rare occasion, the stars align and money pours from the sky.
But on average, most days are a balance of joy and frustration, victories and failures, profitable decisions and lavish blunders. Although success can be duplicated and recreated, it can be extremely messy in the making.
So if you are not the neatest or most organized life insurance salesman in the world, don’t feel bad. You’re on the right track. And what ever you do, don’t let your spouse convince you that you have to change to be more successful.
Because, if you ever take notice, the extremely neat people seem to have far more priority in keeping everything nice and tidy and much less time for making money.
So you decide, what side of the fence do you like the best?
